Embark on a sightseeing tour to savor the distinctive beauty of Kazan, witness the vibrant colors of its streets and squares firsthand, and discover where the untold treasures of the Kazan Khans are kept—and where a cauldron once boiled without a fire. The landmarks of this thousand-year-old city blend Western culture with Eastern traditions: the Sukonnaya Sloboda (Cloth Settlement), reflecting the industrial reforms of Peter the Great; the Fountain Square; Lake Kaban, with its mysteries and legends; the stylized "Tugan Avylym" ("Native Village") complex; the new Puppet Theater; Kazan University; and Freedom Square, the city's cultural and administrative hub. The Kazan Kremlin is the city's main landmark and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It serves as the official residence of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan and is a state museum-reserve visited by thousands of tourists every year. This white-stone Kremlin is the heart of the ancient city, embodying a blend of Western and Eastern cultures. Here, the minarets of the city's principal mosque, Kul Sharif (which is included in the visit), soar skyward, while the golden domes of the oldest Orthodox church—the Annunciation Cathedral—gleam in the light. The fortress grounds also house one of Kazan’s iconic symbols: the famous "Leaning Tower" of Queen Syuyumbike. Check-in at the hotel
Kazan
Meeting with the guide An exterior view of the "Temple of All Religions" on the old Moscow Tract. The "Universal Temple" cultural center is a symbolic architectural symbiosis of religions, civilizations, and cultures. The island-town of Sviyazhsk. Sviyazhsk is an ancient fortress built during the reign of Ivan the Terrible; it served as a military outpost in the Volga region and a staging ground for troops preparing to attack the impregnable fortress of Kazan. The fortress was originally constructed in Uglich, then dismantled, floated down the Volga, and reassembled on the island. The Sviyazhsk tour itinerary includes unique historical monuments: the Cathedral of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow"; the Church of the Holy Trinity—one of Russia's oldest wooden churches; the active Assumption Monastery, featuring an architectural ensemble from the 16th and 17th centuries; the Stable Yard and artisan workshops; and Nativity Square, which offers views of the vast waters and the Uslon Hills. Back to Kazan Walking tour: Catherine II – Patroness of the Tatar People. A stroll along K. Nasyri Street in the Old Tatar Settlement, an area that has best preserved the authentic character of a traditional Tatar city. The settlement has endured much throughout its history—burning down, suffering destruction, and being rebuilt. Catherine II was the first Russian monarch to move away from the policy of suppressing Islam. A desire to experience the exotic allure of the East led her to the Tatar Settlement during her visit to Kazan, and she authorized the construction of the first stone mosques. The Tatars were so struck by Catherine II’s grandeur and kindness that she has remained in the people's historical memory for centuries as "Ebi Patsha" (Grandmother-Empress). Echpochmak House-Museum (echpochmak – Tatar traditional small pie) A museum with unique content, entirely dedicated to preserving and promoting Tatar traditions. It offers a journey into the past, rich in culture and the atmosphere of traditional Tatar life—and, of course, the flavors of national cuisine. Echpochmak preparation. A guided tour of the museum featuring a quiz and photo opportunities in themed settings. Tea time with Tatar sweets and echpochmaks.

Also you will see the Bronze Horseman and Cruiser Aurora (outside). Peter and Paul’s Fortress and St.Isaac’s Cathedral (photostop) The cradle of Saint-Petersburg – Peter and Paul fortress is located on Hare Island. It was founded in 1703 and it’s the historical core of St. Petersburg. Its architect was the famous Domenico Trezzini, who made a significant contribution to the beginning of the building and urban design of St. Petersburg. Despite being a fortress it is noteworthy that Peter and Paul fortress did not take part in hostilities during the entire history of its existence. It was used mainly as a political prison and some of the Decembrists as well as famous people such as Dostoevsky, Chernyshevsky and others were imprisoned here in different periods of time. Nowadays it is a house for different museums such as Peter and Paul Cathedral – the tallest building in the city center and the burial place of Russian emperors – the Grand Ducan Mausoleum and the Museum of History of Saint-Petersburg. St.Isaac’s Cathedral One of the most famous and recognizable structures of St. Petersburg has always been and remains shrouded in mystery. From a mysterious death of the main architect to a strange connection between its construction and the fate of the Romanov house, this Cathedral is a unique place in every aspect. The cathedral's facades are decorated with sculptures and massive granite columns, while the interior is adorned with incredibly detailed mosaic icons, paintings and columns made of malachite and lapis lazuli. State Hermitage Museum Many tourists come to St Petersburg simply to visit the Hermitage and some people say that visiting all of its 350 exhibition rooms would entail a walk of over 10 km. It was once calculated that it would take over 9 years if you just have a look at every item. The Hermitage is a house for remarkable examples of Italian High Renaissance art as well as unique collections of paintings by Rembrandt, the vast collection of Dutch and Flemish masters, fabulous treasures from Siberia and Central Asia, Egyptian and classical antiques, Persian and Chinese artworks and many other exhibits. Furthermore, the interiors of the Winter Palace themselves can be described as a piece of art with its luxurious state rooms, where Tsars held court and the Provisional Government was arrested by the Bolsheviks. This palace witnessed many historical events within its walls and you will be able to feel the spirit of that time there.
